Rooms on Wonder of the Seas run the gamut from economical inside rooms, outside cabins with oversized windows, balcony cabins and suites. But within those categories are a wide array of room choices not normally found on most cruise ships. Plus music to jam out to, movies, and plenty of comfortable places to kick back with new friends. Just outside is our most maxed-out patio yet, with lawn games, a juice bar serving up tastebud tempting mocktails and ice cream floats, and for the first time ever, a whirlpool to chill beneath the sun or stars. And everyone savors delicious dining options from homespun Southern classics with a twist to rustic Italian favorites.

Wonder Dunes, where you can tee up for an immersive, story-based mini golf journey under the sun or stars. Watching my daughter scramble up and down, I thought that Royal Caribbean could have done more to make this area more fun for elementary-school-age kids. However, don't miss the captain's wheel that looks over the bottom floor of the play space. Wonder of the Seas has more restaurants than you could hope to dine in on a seven-night cruise and an equally large number of bars – all with their own vibes and specialties. My colleagues on board were booked into inside and balcony cabins, and reviewed their rooms favorably. I booked my daughter and myself into a Grand Suite, the lowest level of suite that qualified for Sky-class perks, including full access to Coastal Kitchen and the Suite Lounge.

FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY

My daughter (and everyone else on board) was in awe of the acrobatic and high-diving show at the AquaTheater; you haven't lived until you've seen someone slackline high above a ship at sea. The ice skating show was so fun, with such colorful costumes, we saw it twice. The one main theater show we saw ("Voices") was mediocre, but the preview of "The Effectors II," which is now playing, looked amazing.

Whether you’re familiar with Royal Caribbean’s signature spots, such as the Schooner Bar, or curious to sip on innovative mixology at the Bionic Bar, your perfect spot awaits. Don’t forget to check out The Lime & Coconut for a taste of the tropics amid the ocean’s expanse. Central Park is home to great restaurants, boutique shops, and the popular Central Park Cafe. It’s a great spot to unwind from the hustle and bustle of a cruise vacation and relax with a good book.

Cruise Hive was established back in 2008 and among the earliest blogs in the industry. Since the start, it's been our aim to provide the latest cruise news covering all the major cruise lines. We make sure cruisers are fully prepared for their cruise vacation with tips on ships and ports.Millions of travelers rely on Cruise Hive in the United States, Europe, Australia, and around the world.

Across from the Studio B ice rink is The Attic, which hosts comedy shows. Cruise ship comedy tends to be hit or miss; whether you enjoy it depends on your sense of humor meshing with that of the comedian. My daughter allowed me only one number of the main theater show, "Voices," though friends who stayed weren't overly impressed. We did see a preview of "The Effectors II" show and its light-up synchronized drone dance number, and that superhero-themed show looked more appealing. Royal Caribbean is known for its amazing entertainment, and the cruise line offers shows that cannot be found on any other line. Another odd choice is that the top of the Wonder Playscape climbing area opens onto the Wonder Dunes minigolf course.

It does the job, too, drawing passengers looking for a quiet spot to enjoy evening drinks. Wonder of the Seas' Solarium, photographed by Khakiberrie, has fast become a favorite spot aboard for its tranquil vibe. The fact that this space is adults-only is a major sell for those traveling without kids or parents looking for some quiet time. Other popular restaurants on Wonder of the Seas include the extra-fee Japanese venue Izumi, as pictured below by Khakiberrie, and inclusive El Loco Fresh for Mexican fare. You'll find in this lavish suite an in-suite slide, cinema, and karaoke area, as well as a private balcony and whirlpool.

The pool deck on Wonder of the Seas will also feature the largest poolside movie screen on a Royal Caribbean ship. Located in the Solarium, The Vue offers poolside drinks with panoramic ocean views. Jenna DeLaurentis enjoys exploring new ports of call around the world on a cruise ship, learning about new cultures, discovering beautiful landscapes, and trying diverse cuisine. She loves to get active while at port, whether cycling through mountains in the Caribbean or scuba diving under the sea. Teens also have access to the Social100 Patio, located outside on deck 17.

Available to guests 16 and older, the Solarium offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle found elsewhere onboard. Cantina Fresca is a Latin-themed bar focusing on Mexican-inspired cocktails. This is the place to go onboard for margaritas, with flavors including pineapple jalapeƱo, strawberry, mango, and passion fruit.

The Mason Jar offers staples and classics with a twist for brunch, dinner and the late night, including savory johnnycakes, crab beignets, 19 American whiskeys, spike floats and shakes, and other southern libations. Wonder of the Seas also has a new specialty restaurant that serves up American southern comfort food. The pool deck on Wonder of the Seas has been redesigned as well with a resort-style feel to it.

For kid-friendly casual eats, there’s the Sorrento’s pizzeria, El Loco Fresh Mexican restaurant, and the Boardwalk Dog House for gourmet hot dogs. The Suite Neighborhood is basically an entire section of the ship that’s only dedicated to those lucky guests staying in a suite (see the Royal Suite Class perks listed above!). Bookings for the much-anticipated ship opened in early 2021, though (even as itineraries evolved to meet changing travel guidelines), and, in January 2022, Royal Caribbean accepted delivery of Wonder of the Seas. Royal Caribbean Group first ordered the ship in 2016, with an anticipated early 2021 delivery. Construction was moving along as planned up until the industry-wide shut down, at which point delivery was delayed until 2022. Well, the second-largest ship in the world is Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas, which measures in at 228,081 gross tons — nearly 8,000 less than Wonder of the Seas.

With thrills at every turn, a pool deck overflowing with sun and games for all ages, bold bites of all types, and showstoppers that never stop. The biggest ship in the world is also the first to bring eight unique neighborhoods to the epic Oasis Class — including the luxurious Suite Neighborhood. So there's more room than ever for adventure, palate-pleasing dining, and awe-inspiring entertainment — only on Royal Caribbean®. Unlike previous interior staterooms, you can find interior staterooms aboard Wonder of the Seas that actually include sitting areas, which is a nice change. The ocean-view staterooms, of course, have that big, bed-side window, while the balcony staterooms feature well-furnished outdoor spaces and floor-to-ceiling windows. Find out everything you need to know about Royal Caribbean's Wonder of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship, and the fifth in the Oasis-class.

Windowed rooms can look out at the ocean, or at the ship's inner courtyards or the popular Royal Promenade. Plenty of areas onboard, like the Solarium on Deck 15 forward and the Central Park "neighborhood" amidships on Deck 8, are enclaves of quiet relaxation by both day and night. This brand-new, larger-than-ever-before cruise ship is the mega-ship that avid cruisers have been waiting for. See what all the fuss is about, when you book your Wonder of the Seas cruise. Sea trials (in the Bay of Biscay) were conducted on August 20-24, 2021. The 4-day operation tested all systems (navigation, propulsion, engines, etc) prior to the delivery (November 5th).
